Change in the presidency of the executive board

The RIME UQAT–Polytechnique is proud to announce the nomination of Geneviève Pepin, Director of Sustainability and External Relations at Dhilmar – Éléonore, as Chair of the Board of Directors for a two-year term. She succeeds Michel Julien, Vice President of Environment and Critical Infrastructure at Agnico Eagle Mines, who has led the Board of Directors since May 2024.

The current year promises to be an important one for the RIME UQAT-Polytechnique, as it aims to renew its mandate for a new seven-year period, starting January 1^st, 2027.

“Over the next few years, our mission is clear: to advance applied research in the mining sector, strengthen synergies between academia and industry, and enhance RIME’s visibility. Mining innovation deserves to be promoted, as do the talents and collaborations that make it possible,” says Ms. Pepin.

With this vision in mind, the collective goal of the Board of Directors remains clear: to prepare for the future mandate while ensuring that the RIME continues to thrive within the academic and industrial communities.

The RIME partners warmly thank Geneviève for her commitment and wish her a term filled with impactful collaborations and innovations.

The Board also extends its gratitude to Michel Julien for his outstanding contribution. His leadership as president and member of the Board has greatly contributed to the growth and reputation of the partnership since its founding, in 2013.
